MakeTag

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information MakeTag (“we”, “us”) collects when you use the website maketag.app and the Discord servers and bots that carry the tags made there (together, the “Service”), and how we use and protect it. It covers tag owners and members of tag servers.

1. Introduction

By signing in to MakeTag, creating a tag or joining a tag server, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We do not read your private messages, and we do not read or store messages on tag servers beyond the reactions and buttons addressed to our bots. We use no analytics or advertising trackers on maketag.app.

3. How We Use Information

4. What Is Public

5. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal data. We share only what is needed to run the Service:

6. Staff Access

Our staff can see the tag servers, their tags and owners, and act on them — for example change a tag, take back a server or lift a ban — to support you or to investigate abuse.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — encrypted connections, access limited to staff, two‑factor protection of our admin tools — to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We keep data as long as it is needed to run the Service. Skip counts, bans and blocks are kept for as long as they apply; giveaway pages stay available after a giveaway ends. When you delete your tag, it leaves the public list at once. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Your Choices and Rights

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children. You must meet Discord’s minimum age (at least 13, or higher where your country requires it). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
